SHARYN JONES, PH.D, PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR


Sharyn Jones completed her graduate work in Anthropology at the University of Florida in 2004. Her academic interests include indigenous history of tropical island chiefdoms, marine resource exploitation, hierarchy, foodways, political economy, ethnoarchaeology, zooarchaeology, and gender. Geographically, her research is focused on Fiji, Polynesia and the Caribbean Islands. She has conducted academic and contract archaeology in North America, Japan, Micronesia, Hawaii, Fiji, and the Caribbean.





LORI CORMIER, PH.D, CO-PRINCIPAL INVESTIGATOR


Lori Cormier's research focus is in historical ecology, which explores the symbolic, social, and material interrelationships of cultures and their environments over time. Research, Teaching, and Service concentrations include Lowland South America (Amazonia), Alabama Choctaw, ethnoprimatology, disaster preparedness, hunter-gatherers, gender and medical anthropology.
